As a student at the University of Newcastle, you are immersed in a diverse community and beautiful natural setting. University of Newcastle offers an exciting orientation for its international students that allows them to meet their fellow classmates, explore campus, and take part in group organized surfing lessons. Located only 7 miles from the city center & beaches, Newcastle itself is one of the most livable cities in the world and is rated in the Top 10 cities in the world to visit by Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel 2011. In addition to a spectacular coastline and surf beaches, Newcastle has excellent cafes and restaurants, bars and pubs, boutique shopping and a diverse arts scene.
